This was the craziest and most challenging deal to date in my career.
What started off as a simple and routine closing started to go sideways about a week before closing, then the first time homebuyers lenders blind sided them by sending closing docs out with a massive increase that was unknown to everyone.
Being able to take this head on without emotion and pivot, we brought in a lender we use often in these code reds who always delivers.
My clients had moved out of their LA home and were supposed to be closing on their brand new home outside of Boston just a few days after this closing. You can imagine the added stress to an already stressful situation of moving across country to potentially losing their new home.
After knowing the loan could be done with my lender and getting that started, I protected my clients with per diems and increased deposits so if all went completely sideways they would be completely covered.
Being pushed out an additional 30 days there was added stress as there were 4 sides and 2 transactions hanging in the balance. My lender stepped up and got it done, my escrow team went beyond far and above by taking a flight to SF to get docs signed. My title team met the Escrow Agent at the airport in LA at 7am to rush to get docs to get this thing closed.
My amazing clients had amazing patience, perservearance, and persistence to see this thing through.
We closed on this deal, they are in their amazing new home in Massachusetts, and the first time buyers are now new residence of a beautiful home in LA.
This deal could have blown up 100 different times and this post could be probably 30 pages of ups and downs not disclosed, but we kept cool, pivoted, and got this done for our amazing clients.
It was truly a group effort, and not having pro's on my team and savvy clients, this may not have made it through.
But, that's not how we roll at SGLE! We deliver!
